Karhade Brahmin Benevolent Foundation Hosts Global Meet in Pune; Launches Four Entrepreneurship Awards

Pune, 6th January 2024: The Pune Chapter of the Karhade Brahmin Benevolent Foundation (KBBF), a networking platform for Karhade Brahmin Entrepreneurs, recently hosted the KBBF Global Meet. The event featured renowned industrialist Shrikrushna Chitale, Director of Chitale Sweets, as the Chief Guest, and Ravindra Prabhudesai, Managing Director of Pitambari Products, as the Guest of Honour.

KBBF, a growing organization dedicated to the betterment of entrepreneurs, introduced four awards in collaboration with Pitambari Products. These awards were presented for the first time during the event.

The Udyojak Bhushan Award was bestowed upon Ashutosh Deuskar of VDA Infosolutions, Pune, for successfully building a corporate from scratch with a turnover beyond Rs 500 crore.

The Karhade Kalpakata Udyojak Award recognized Jayant Athalye, Managing Director of Subodhan Engineers, Pune, for demonstrating innovation and creativity in running a successful business for over 30 years.

Shilpa Huzurbazar of Sanwad Speech & Hearing Clinic, Kolhapur, received the Karhade Mahila Udyojika Award for being a first-generation entrepreneur and creating over 50 employments.

The Karhade Yuva Udyojak Award, dedicated to young entrepreneurs, was presented to Keshav Pitre of CloudTech India, Sindhudurg, for achieving significant operations and employment generation in a first-generation business before the age of 35.

KBBF also took the opportunity to honor other business networking groups in Pune, such as Rotary-means-Business (RMB), Ghe Bharari, YUVA, Brahmin Business Network Global (BBNG), and Saturday Club for their commitment to empowering entrepreneurs.

During his speech, Shrikrushna Chitale shared insights into the entrepreneurial journey of Chitale Bandhu, spanning over 100 years. He emphasized the importance of training and encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs and allowing them to take business decisions from an early stage.

Ravindra Prabhudesai of Pitambari Products challenged participants to achieve greater, faster growth, stating that “Entrepreneurship and Growth is our Dharma.” He highlighted the need to be a 24×7 entrepreneur and approach business with a win-win mindset.

In a subsequent session, journalist and business leader Dr. Uday Nirgudkar discussed the changing landscape in India and the opportunities it presents for entrepreneurs. He emphasized the role of the internet and digital technology, stating that intellect is more critical than might in today’s business world.

The final session featured Dr. Dhananjay Deshpande, a successful branding and marketing expert, guiding participants on creatively using social media for greater impact.

The event attracted nearly 200 members and fellow entrepreneurs from Thane, Pune, Dombivli, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Mumbai, as well as Goa.
