PUNE: A book written by A S Dulat, the former chief of India’s external intelligence agency Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) and former special director of Intelligence Bureau (IB), titled as‘Kashmir – The Vajpayee Years’ will be published in Pune on the eve of Independence Day ( Aug 14) at YASHADA, MDC – 5, 1st floor at 5.00 pm.
Kashmir has always been a contentious issue since India’s independence. Nature has lavishly endowed Kashmir with certain distinctive features that are paralleled by few alpine regions in the world. However the sheer existence of this Princely State is very intriguing. A S Dulat has very aptly written an interesting story of unseen Kashmir and its existence in his new book.
Renowned allied dignitaries will also have a panel discussion on this evening after the book launch.
The Panelists include, Lt. Gen. Vinayak Patankar – former corps commander and security adviser to Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir, Jayant Umranikar – former Director General of Police (special operations) Maharashtra, who has also worked with RAW, Sanjay Nahar – founder president, Sarhad (NGO). This session will be moderated by Dr Dileep Padgaonkar – former Jammu and Kashmir interlocutor.
