Kathak Dancer Annwesa Singh conferred with Guru Samman Award

Pune, 31st January 2025: Students aged 6 to 12 of Taal Tarangini Kathak Institute in Pune got the opportunity to present their skill in the Kala Mahotsav organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Computer Application and Management and Apni Sanskriti Foundation in New Delhi this year. Kathak dancer Annwesa Singh, founder of Taal Tarangini, and her 7 disciples participated in the art festival held in New Delhi. In the art festival, 6 of Annwesa Singh’s disciples won
the first prize and one disciple won the second prize in the Kathak-solo category. In the semi-classical category in the younger age group, the Krishna and Radha performance won the first prize. Annwesa Singh herself performed Krishna Vandana with pure Kathak todes, tukde, tatkar and chakkar.
In the festival, Annwesa Singh received the Nritya Sadhana Award and she also conferred with the Guru Samman Award which is given to young Teachers in the field of Art. On this occasion, Professor M. N. Hoda, Director Of Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, Shri Sandeep Marwa, President of Asian Academy of Film and Television, Smt. Jyoti Sharma, Founder of Apni Sanskriti were present.
