Kerala: Aarthi Reghunath Creates World Record By Finishing 350 Online Courses In 90 Days

Pune, October 2, 2020: The Coronavirus pandemic has pushed the school and college students to completely switch to online mediums for education. While some people are facing difficulties with the sudden transition, some are thriving under the new circumstances.

Online learning platforms like Coursera, Udemy and edX have attracted a huge swarm of audience. Many students are trying to learn various things like languages, blogging, singing, music, graphic designing, coding, content writing, psychology, finance etc. via these online platforms.

Aarthi Reghunath who hails from Elamakkara in Kochi, Kerala is a second-year MSc Biochemistry student of MES College spent her time during the lockdown studying online courses from ‘Coursera’. She made a world record at the Universal Record Forum by completing 350 online courses in just 90 days.

Reghunath told The New Indian Express that she was introduced to the online course platform by her college faculty. With the help of her college principal Ajims P Muhammed, class tutor Neelima TK and Coursera coordinator Haneefa KG she studied various courses online which differed in curriculum and duration.

Reghunath completed courses from prestigious world-renowned universities like the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), John Hawkins University, State University of New York, University of Virginia, University of Rochester, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Copenhagen and Emory University.
