Khadki: COVID Cases Continue To Decline, 1 COVID Care Centre Temporarily Closed

Khadki, 23 September 2020: Coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases in Khadki Cantonment area are on the decline from the beginning of this month. Also, the recovery rate of Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) is almost 90% and the death rate is 2.5 percent.

The total number of COVID positive patients has reached 1438 in KCB jurisdiction. Out of 1438, a total of 1286 people have recovered while 36 have died.

According to KCB, 35 cases have been reported in the last seven days, whereas 115 have recovered in the same period. There has been no death in the last week.

The Pune district administration has given 2000 antigen kit for rapid testing to Khadki Cantonment Board. “We have temporarily closed one of the COVID care centre (Jijamata) due to continuous reduction in COVID cases”, KCB CEO Pramod Kumar Singh told Punekarnews.in.

According to KCB, there are still 116 active patients undergoing treatment. 37 of them are admitted to Khadki Cantonment Hospitals and COVID Cares Centres located in Khadki, while others are admitted in different private hospitals in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. 17 patients are in home isolation.

Pune district cases have reached 257,797 out of which 1,34,029 are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 71,641 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 5079 from three cantonment areas, 36,140 are from rural areas, and 10,908 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
