Pune, June 16, 2020: The officials from Khadki police station have arrested a man who was wanted in robbery cases for the last eight months. Police said that there are five cases against him. He is also wanted in a serious case at Yerwada police station.

The arrested accused has been identified as Tarun Suresh Pillai, a resident of Najretwada in Khadki Bazaar. While searching for the accused during the combing operation on June 14, head constable Sopan Thokal and constables Aniruddha Sonawane and Sandeep Gaikwad received information that Pillai is at his home. Accordingly, a team went there and arrested him. Pillai was produced before a judicial magistrate court which remanded him to police custody till June 18.

The action was taken under the supervision of DCP (Zone 4) Pankaj Deshmukh, ACP (Khadki division) Laxman Borate and Police Inspector Shafil Pathan in-charge of Khadki police station. The team Police sub-inspector Pratap Giri and policemen Sopan Thokal, Rajkiran Pawar, Kiran Ghute, Pravin Karale, Sandeep Gaikwad, Aniruddha Sonawane. PSI Giri is further investigating the case.
