Mumbai, 15th November 2022: Mumbai Indians’ legendary all-rounder Kieron Pollard on Tuesday announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League, saying his franchise needs a change, and if he can’t play MI, he won’t even want to play against MI. Mumbai Indians teammate Jasprit Bumrah has become very emotional after Pollard retired from the IPL. He has tweeted saying that it will take time to get used to it.

In a statement released on Twitter, Pollard said that he has accepted the role of MI batting coach and will continue to play for MI Emirates in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) T20 league.

After announcing Pollard’s retirement, Jasprit Bumrah tweeted, “It will take time to get used to playing on the field without you. But in the nets, I’ll just enjoy our jokes. Congratulations Polly on an incredible career, and best wishes for your new innings.”

However, this tweet of Bumrah caught the eye of the fans, and they questioned this star bowler. A user asked that there is not a single tweet about the T20 World Cup and he became active as soon as the IPL arrived. One wrote, “You must have become fit to play IPL, Bumrah Ji.”

Pollard (35) from West Indies wanted to play for a few more years in the IPL but decided to retire from the IPL after discussions with the five-time champions. Pollard has 3412 runs in 189 matches in IPL. He made his debut for this team in 2010. However, he will remain with the franchise and will be the team’s new batting coach.
