Know Alternative Indian Mobile Apps against the 59 banned Chinese apps

Pune, June 30, 2020: The Ministry of Information Technology yesterday banned 59 Chinese mobile applications in India. The Chinese apps pose a threat to public order, the security of individuals, defence of India and many other sectors. Highlighting the dangers of prolonged usage of these apps, they were banned.

Since many years Chinese apps have been in use in India and people have become reliant on them. But only a few understand the risk of using these applications. User data is not safe and personal information is often at risk of being exposed to other servers outside India.

There are many Indian alternatives for the Chinese apps which have infiltrated the user base and market of India. The list of the alternative apps include-

Browser applications

Chinese apps: UC Mini Browser, UC Turbo Browser, Dolphin Browser

Indian apps: Epic Browser, Jio Browser

Office Document Applications

Chinese apps: WPS Office- Free Office…, WPS PDF…- Free For PD, WPS PDF Fill & Sign-Fill…, WPS Office Lite

Indian apps: As of now, it is difficult to find an Indian alternative for WPS Office but the best thing you can use for now is Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Indian app: ‘Say Namaste’ is an Indian video conferencing software.
