Pune, 8 March 2021:
Suhas Merchant, President, CREDAI-Pune Metro

The allotment of Rs. 24 thousand crores by the state government for the development of Pune’s Ring Road will benefit the Real Estate sector in the area. As land acquisition is a big issue at Ring Road, the funds allotment will boost the infrastructure facilities which are missing in the area. The development of Ring Road has been planned but it is not executed due to the lack of funds. With this, the villages around PMRDA, which are connected to Ring Road will also get developed. Also, the transportation will also improve, and traffic will become organized in the city.
We also welcome the decision of 1% discount in stamp duty if the registration of a new flat is done in the name of a woman family member. In fact, CREDAI- Pune Metro earlier had requested the government to avail discount on stamp duty if a flat is registered in the name of a woman.  So, with the announcement our demand has been accepted.

Vineet Goyal, Joint Managing Director, Kohinoor Group

I welcome the decision of 1% concession in stamp duty if the registration of a new home is done in the name of a lady member of the family. This may continue the momentum in home buying which was an outcome of concessions given on stamp duty in the past few months. Secondly, an allocation of Rs.24 thousand Crores for the ring road will help in improving the overall infrastructure around the city of Pune and will ease the traffic movement. It will not only help in enhancing the living conditions in the city but may also result in giving a boost to the housing sector in future.

Poonam Gokhale, Director, Gokhale Constructions

We welcome the announcement of the state government on the occasion of International Women’s Day, that if a new flat is registered in the name of a female family member 1 per cent discount will be given on stamp duty. This will not only help the construction sector but this decision is also an important step towards women empowerment.
