Koregaon Park: FIRs Registered Against Four Restaurants For Violating COVID Norms

Pune, 15th March 2021: Pune City Police have taken action against four big hotels in Koregaon Park for not following the Covid-19 protocols. It is also observed that rules made for establishments aren’t followed.

The hotels affected are Murphies in Lane No. 6 and Talli,  The Daily All Day and Publiq in Lane No. 7. Police have charged them for offences under sections 188 and 269 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections Disaster Management Act 2005.

The prevalence of corona in the city is increasing exponentially. Against this backdrop, the administration has imposed rules on hotels and other establishments. It is being strictly enforced. The first rule is that hotels/restaurants with 50 percent capacity till 10 pm.

There are many restaurants and hotels in Koregaon Park. Under the guidance of DCP (Zone 2) Sagar Patil, a team led by Senior Police Inspector Dilip Shinde, Inspector Galande raided these hotels and found that COVID norms were being violated.

Accordingly, cases were registered. Further investigation is going, said Inspector Shinde.
