Kurvande Records 184.5 mm Rain; IMD Forecasts More Rain in Pune Till May 31

Pune, 26th May 2025: Pune district witnessed intense rainfall activity in the last 24 hours, with Kurvande in the Western Ghats receiving a staggering 184.5 mm of rain till 9 am on Monday, according to data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune.
Several other regions recorded significant rainfall, including Daund (114 mm), Malin (95 mm), Lavasa (83 mm), and Nimgiri (67 mm). Rainfall was widespread across both ghat and city areas, with Wadgaonsheri (54 mm), Baramati (53 mm), Hadapsar (38 mm), and Shivajinagar (23 mm) also receiving substantial showers.

The IMD has issued a forecast for moderate to heavy rainfall across Pune district on May 26 and 27, urging residents and local authorities to stay alert, especially in low-lying and landslide-prone areas.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected on May 28 and 29, followed by light rain on May 30 and 31, as per the extended forecast.
