Pune, 1st October 2021: In a worrying fact, the percentage of getting affected with Covid-19 after taking the second dose of vaccine is 0.25% as compared to the percentage among those who had taken only the first dose which is 0.19%.

Pune district guardian minister and Maharashtra State deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar told the media persons, “the number of Covid-19 patients who have taken the second dose is worrisome. When we inquired with the doctors, we came to know that these people become lackadaisical after taking the second dose”.

“In Pune, the infection rate is 2.1% while in Pimpri-Chinchwad it is 2.2% while in the rural areas it is 3.8%. The death rate has fallen and nearly five lakh citizens have been vaccinated last week. During a survey we came to know that 0.25% people have caught the infection even after being fully vaccinated”, he stated.

He said that this has become a new worry for district administration. “We appeal to the people to take care. Follow the Covid-19 norms”, he said.

Meanwhile, there has been a decreasing graph of Covid-19 infection among citizens in the State. Thus, the government will permit the opening of religious places, schools and other offices. At the same time, the vaccination drive has taken up the pace. All this has resulted in decreasing infections.

However, in Pune, it was noticed that the number of infections is rising among fully vaccinated people as compared with the people who had taken one dose. Thus, the district administration has swung into action and has started the awareness programs.
