Land Acquisition begins for Pune-Nashik high-speed railway

Pune, January 21, 2021: It seems the long-pending Pune-Nashik high-speed rail route will now get a boost. The District Administration has decided to acquire 575 hectares of land from Haveli, Khed, Junnar and Ambegaon taluka for the proposed route.

 

The administration will be talking to the farmers before acquiring their land for the route. Recently, Chief Minister Udhhav Thackeray had suggested presenting the proposal before the Cabinet. The Cabinet will decide as to how to raise money for it.

Nearly, 1.470 hectares of land from Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik will be acquired for it. Of which 547 hectares will be from the Pune district. The Railways’ already have submitted their proposal to Haveli taluka for the land acquisition.
