Lockdown: Pune police to grant digital permits for employees of exempted companies, industries
Pune, March 24,2020: Regarding grievance redressal of companies/industries who have been exempted under lockdown orders, their requests are being taken through email ([email protected])
and digital permits are being issued, stated a press release from Pune city police.
To assist you, kindly provide the following information:
a) Name/address/Service details of the company.
b) Is your company in the exempted category as per the lockdown orders issued by Maharashtra government?
c) If yes, please send information regarding the details of officials who are absolutely necessary for the operation of services in the below format
Name of officer – Mobile no – Designation -Vehicle no
d) Exemptions if required will be given only in exceptional circumstances.
e) Guidelines circulated by various regulatory authorities regarding operation of the company during Covid-19 need to be strictly adhered to.
f) Response given by pune police team can be treated as permission from competent authority.
g) If stopped by police, the concerned need to show a copy of this email with his ID card and clearly mentioning his name in the list (para-C) and confirm to the police officer. Kindly cooperate with the policemen on the ground, and may call 100 in case of any problem.
h) In current situation of Covid-19, Kindly remain home and maintain social distancing.
Please note that you will be liable for punishment if any false information is provided, police said.

A statement from police stated, “Once a request is reviewed, they are being sent a confirmation message from same WhatsApp number regarding their query/exemption request. Please note that exemptions will be given only in exceptional circumstances. Punekars are requested to cooperate with Pune police.”
As curfew has been clamped in the whole state including Pune City where vehicle movement is not allowed, except those engaged in essential services, Pune city police has come out with solution to help people who has genuine reason to travel.

The Maharashtra government on March 23 (Monday) ordered lockdown across the state in order to prevent spread of Coronavirus. There number of positive cases has reached 101 in the state including 31 in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
