Lokmat Newspaper brings back DhamalGalli – a fun filled Sunday Activity for the entire family in Pune

Pune- 24th April, 2017: Lokmat newspaper has introduced special activities to bring families of Pune on a common platform with celebration, special health and fitness workshops this summer. Lokmat #DhamalGalli is an initiative for people across age groups to meet and spend quality time with friends and neighbors and involve them in numerous outdoor activities, amidst learning &masti. Conceptualized with an aim to get the Pune residents out on the streets every Sunday, Lokmat brings back #DhamaalGalli for kids, youth and senior citizens of Pune, adding newer locations thus expanding the moments of fun and celebration in the city. The event which began on 23rd April, will continue till 11th June 2017, every Sunday morning from 7.00 to 10.00 am. Last year too, Lokmat’s #DhamalGalli was a huge success with a presence of over 10,000 people.

Activities with a large focus on fitness and enjoyment include – cycling, skating, flash Mob, Tug of War, Street plays kids’ creative corner, Zumba, Aerobics, Art and Crafts, Carnival photobooth, Crease and Snake Ladder, Instrumental, Box Cricket, Bands etc. and lots more have been planned. Rent-free cycles will be made available for use, a dedicated space for badminton has been allotted, yoga and meditation sessions have been arranged for senior citizens. These events are an outcome to stop traffic flow in the morning thus engaging readers through interesting games and recreational activities and to help citizens de-stress yet spend quality time with family and friends.
