Lonavala: INS Shivaji’s Fire Brigade Helps Douse Fire at Chemical Factory In Sajgaon
Pune, November 7, 2020: INS Shivaji rendered aid to civil authorities for a fire outbreak at Sajgaon, Arcos Industries at MIDC, approx 27 km from Lonavla on November 6.
“The request was received from Khopoli police. Immediately fire tender from INS Shivaji Fire Station was immediately deputed along with the fire brigade personnel and the fire was successfully bought under control and doused by 5.50 pm by INS Shivaji Fire brigade.
The fire brigade fought the fire using AFFF, which was not available with other fire tenders at the scene. There were about 20 fire tenders at the place of fire. The incident claimed two lives and left seven people injured”, a press release from INS Shivaji stated.
