Lonavala: Tourists Requested To Follow Covid-Appropriate Behaviour

Lonavala, 24th December 2022: The Chief Executive and Administrator of Lonavala Municipal Council, Pandit Patil, has appealed to the tourists coming to Lonavala city for Christmas and New Year celebrations, as well as to enjoy the tourist spots, to use masks at all times.

Speaking about this, Patil said, “The spread of the Corona epidemic has started increasing in some countries. Concerns are being expressed everywhere as some number of patients are being found in India as well. Since Lonavala is a tourist destination, tourists come here from various parts. Since there is also a possibility of crowding, the tourists coming to Lonavala for tourism and parties should use masks and sanitisers.”

An appeal has been made to maintain social distance and avoid going to crowded places. Local businessmen should also use masks to prevent infection, and hotel and bungalow businessmen have been urged to inform visiting tourists about the use of masks and sanitisers.

The police administration has taken precautionary measures to maintain law and order in the city and rural areas. Meetings of hotels, bungalows, and tent businessmen have been given instructions regarding safety.

“Take care that no illegal incidents should take place in your establishments. Otherwise, strict action will be taken,” warned Satyasai Karthik, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Lonavala Division).

Tourists are also urged to take care not to disturb others while coming to the tourist spots. Along with this, stern action has been warned if tourists disrupt the peace in public places, driving under the influence of alcohol or use loudspeakers. Checkposts will be set up in cities and rural areas to check vehicles.
