LPF sends its 8th Batch of Peace Ambassadors to the UK
Pune, 27th August, 2018 : Lila Poonawalla Foundation sent its 8th Batch of Peace Ambassadors to the UK, Asha Center for 3 weeks ‘Wholesome Development and Sustainable Leadership Program’ on 24th August. After the interviews conducted by the board members, a total of 24 girls were selected for the program.
The Lila Poonawalla Foundation in collaboration with the ASHA Centre, UKstarted the Peace Ambassadors Program in the year 2008. Around 120 Lila Fellows have benefited from this 3 Weeks Program.
This program is Sponsored by Samena Foundation UK, who have been LPF partners for this program for last 3 years.
In this program, the girls will have the opportunity to get trained in intercultural relations, appreciation, learn interpersonal skills, communication, presentation & negotiation, learn Wholesome and Social Leadership Skills and stress management.
In short, the young ladies will be returning as Young Effective Leaders who can contribute to the betterment of not only their lives but the entire society at large.
