Luxury Car Manufacturers Set to Launch Five New Models in India

Pune, 27th May 2024: The Indian automotive market, known for its demand for both standard and luxury vehicles, anticipates the introduction of five new luxury car models from renowned manufacturers such as BMW, Audi, and Mercedes Benz. Reports indicate that these companies are gearing up to unveil their latest offerings, catering to the upscale segment of consumers. Let’s delve into the details of each anticipated release.

Mercedes Benz, a prominent player in the luxury car segment, is reportedly preparing to unveil a new version of its long-standing E-Class model. Set to be introduced in the long-wheelbase variant, the new iteration will feature a two-liter turbo petrol engine, along with the option of a two-liter capacity diesel engine. Compared to its predecessor, the new version will boast dimensions that are 15 mm longer and 20 mm wider.

BMW, another leading German automaker, is also readying for the launch of the latest iteration of its 5 Series model in India. Scheduled to hit the market before the onset of the festive season, the eighth generation 5 Series promises to bring forth a blend of sophistication and performance, characteristic of the BMW brand.

Audi, renowned for its luxury SUVs, is set to introduce the facelifted version of its Q8 model in the Indian market. Following its global debut in September last year, the updated Q8 will come equipped with several new features, accompanied by subtle design enhancements. The SUV is expected to retain its existing engine configuration.

Mini, a subsidiary of BMW, is also gearing up to launch the latest iteration of its Countryman model in India. With its global debut in September 2023, the new Countryman is anticipated to offer a larger footprint compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it may be available in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric variants, featuring notable updates in its exterior and interior design elements.

Mercedes Benz is not stopping with just the E Class; the company is also gearing up to introduce the Maybach EQS electric SUV in the Indian market. Boasting a battery capacity of 108.4 kWh and two batteries, the Maybach EQS promises impressive performance figures, including 658 horsepower and a range of up to 600 kilometers. With its luxurious features and high-performance capabilities, the Maybach EQS is poised to make a significant impact in the luxury SUV segment.
