The topic of discussion in the boardroom was ‘Triggering a Buy – Building Consumer Confidence’. The main objective of the dialogue was to take a 360 degree look at the issue by incorporating the view-points of various stakeholders.

After the 2007-08 slowdown, the development in Pune has focused more on affordability aspect. There has been a lesser focus on luxury segment as most consumers cannot afford projects in this category. Development of industrial zones in peripheral areas of Pune will further drive the demand for smaller formats like 1 BHK segment in Rs 10 -15 Lakh budget category.
Further development of Pune requires fixing issues like environment, water shortage, illegal construction, slum clusters and waste management.
