Mahabaleshwar Golf Club Gets Notice For Closure After Anil Ambani Spotted Walking And Talking In Viral Video
Mahabaleshwar, 3rd May 2021: After businessman Anil Ambani was spotted talking while walking at the Mahabaleshwar golf club, in a viral video, the municipal body has asked the golf club to close.
Ambani was seen walking around during the lockdown after which this order was issued. Ambani had reached Mahabaleshwar with his wife Tina Ambani and children.
Pallavi Patil, chief officer of Mahabaleshwar municipal council, warned that action would be taken under the Disaster Management Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act if the golf course did not prevent people from coming for a walk in the morning or evening during the current restrictions.
Patil said, “The video of Anil Ambani walking in the field with some family members came on social media. After verifying the video, we issued a notice to the owner of the ground and instructed him to stop people from coming for a walk in the morning or evening.”
She said that after the notice was issued, the ground has been closed and people have been barred from entering.
The British-era golf course is in the middle of an evergreen forest. However, an official said that Ambani had come to Mahabaleshwar before the recent lockdown and he was staying in a bungalow here.
