Pune Doctor Returns To Duty After Cremating Father; His Mother, Brother Are Still In Hospital
Pune, 4th May 2021: A doctor from Pune is currently being discussed on social media. As many of his family members are infected with Coronavirus, his father died due to the infection and his mother and brother are undergoing treatment at the hospital. However, the doctor kept aside his grief and immediately began his work and started to treat the patients.
“Can’t see patients’ pain while relaxing”, says Dr Mukund Penurkar of Sanjeevan hospital, off-Karve Road.
Dr Penurkar’s sense of duty is being appreciated on social media. Many have saluted him for his continued service. Some have prayed for the speedy recovery of their mother and brother.
He had brought his parents and brother from Nagpur to Pune as they were not able to get hospital beds there. His father Ramdasrao Penurkar passed away on April 26. After duty, he performed the last rites alone and had made a video call to his sisters and other family members. He returned to duty the next day.
The condition of his mother and brother, who are undergoing treatment at Sanjeevan Hospital, is stable.
