Pune, November 29, 2020: Considering a large number of 10th and 12th students it is impossible to take online exams as the number of their subjects is also more, said Pune Divisional Board chairperson Kale.

A meeting will be held soon to decide the schedule of these HSC, SSC examinations. Meanwhile, offline exams are being considered suitable options, after April 23.

There are more than 64 subjects for the 10th class and 128 subjects for the 12th class. So online exam would be impossible, informed Kale.

Exams will be conducted at offline examination centres following the guidelines of COVID-19. In this regard, schools aim to complete at least 70 percent of the curriculum by April 23. Teachers have been asked to plan for this. Out of 25,866 schools from 9th to 12th standard, only nine and a half thousand schools have been started in the state. Out of 59,27,456, only about 4 lakh students are coming to school.

The number of 10th and 12th class students is higher. So now the movement has gained momentum to plan for the 10th-12th exams, which are to be a month and a half late. The timetable will be announced in January, the board said.
