Maharashtra: 8308 fresh COVID patients, 258 deaths today

Mumbai, July 17, 2020: A total of 2217 patients were discharged while 8308 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra today. Today, 258 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.91%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 2,92,589 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

 

According to the health department, 1,60,357 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.91%. As of today, there are 1,20,480 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 54.81% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.91%. Currently, 7,24,602 people are in home quarantine and 44,284 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Out of 14,84,630 laboratory samples, 2,92,589 have been tested positive (19.7%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,00,3832 across the country. Out of this, 635,756 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 25,602 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 3,42,473 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
