Pune, 21st July 2024: “The mistakes made in the Lok Sabha elections have been acknowledged, and corrective measures are in place to ensure they are not repeated in the upcoming assembly elections”, Maharashtra State BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule expressed his strong belief that Mahayuti will secure more than 200 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.

The BJP state convention has commenced in Pune under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, where Bawankule addressed the attendees. He highlighted that in the previous assembly elections, the BJP lost 60 seats due to minority votes but emphasized the party’s resolve to win the election this time.

Bawankule urged party members to focus on increasing voter turnout at each booth, stating, “Ten votes are required at each booth. Increase from ten to twenty-five voters each after exiting the convention. Register a new voter.” He stressed the importance of collective effort within the grand alliance for the allocation of seats and emphasized the need to work for the benefit of 14 crore people in the state.

“I have faith and trust in you. You will do this, and Mahayuti will cross the 200 mark,” Bawankule asserted, adding that his confidence was not out of pride but faith in the party’s capabilities and its members.

The convention sets a determined tone for the BJP’s strategy in the upcoming elections, focusing on voter engagement and robust alliance cooperation to achieve their electoral goals.
