Maharashtra Board Clarifies Class 12 Mathematics Exam Will Not be Re-conducted Despite Question Paper Leak

Mumbai, 3rd March 2023: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has issued a statement regarding a Mathematics question paper leak that has gone viral from an examination center in Sindkhed Raja taluka in Buldhana district.

 

According to the statement, two pages of the Mathematics question paper dated 03 March 2023 have been released after 10.30 am, which is after the start of the morning session of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam. However, the board has clarified that the question paper has not reached any of the students in the state, and therefore, the Class 12 Mathematics exam will not be reconducted, board secretary Anuradha Oak has clarified.

 

As per the board’s instructions, it is mandatory for candidates to be present in the examination hall till 2.30 pm, after which no student will be allowed to enter the hall. The board has stated that no student has been found in possession of the leaked question paper, and it has only gone viral on social media.

 

A case has been registered against an unknown person at Sindkhed Raja Police Station, and the police are investigating the matter further. The board has urged students, teachers, parents, and all concerned to take note of this and not believe any rumors or false information being circulated.

 

The MSBSHSE conducts HSC exams for Class 12 students across the state of Maharashtra, and any instance of question paper leaks or malpractice is taken seriously. The board has assured that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the remaining exams and maintain the integrity of the examination process.
