Pune, 20th March 2026: In a first, the State Common Entrance Test Cell has introduced a two-step hall ticket system for various professional course entrance examinations this year, aiming to make the process more convenient for students.

Under the new system, candidates will receive two hall tickets — a provisional one and a final one. The move is intended to reduce last-minute confusion and help students plan their travel in advance.

The Common Entrance Tests (CET) for admission to 17 undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses for the academic year 2026–27 will be conducted between March 24 and May 16, 2026.

As per the revised process, students will receive their provisional hall ticket around 8 to 10 days before the examination. This ticket will mention the district and city where the exam centre is located. While filling out the application form, students are allowed to select four preferred districts, and the provisional ticket will indicate the allotted location.

The system is expected to help candidates — particularly those assigned centres in other districts — plan their travel and accommodation in advance.

The final hall ticket will be released three to four days before the examination. It will contain complete details, including the exact exam centre name, address and centre code. Students have been advised to carefully check both hall tickets and must download the final one to appear for the examination.

At present, provisional hall tickets for three courses — MPEd, MEd and M.HMCT — have been made available in students’ login accounts. The MPEd examination is scheduled to begin on March 24.

The CET Cell has advised all candidates to regularly visit the official website for updates and important instructions.
