Maharashtra Coronavirus: Corona wreaked havoc in jails, 198 prisoners and 86 prison staff infected; 15 death

Mumbai, 15th April 2021: The corona epidemic is wreaking havoc in the jails of Maharashtra as well. According to the latest data, there are currently 284 active cases in these jails of the state. Of these, 198 are prisoners and 86 members of the prison staff. There were 15 deaths, including 7 prisoners and 8 prison staff. As many as 1326 prisoners and 3112 prison staff have been vaccinated so far.

 

In Maharashtra, 58952 new cases of corona infection have been confirmed and 278 deaths have been reported on Wednesday. The total number of infected persons has reached 35, 78,160 including 6, 12,070 active cases in the state. At the same time, 9925 new corona patients appeared in Mumbai, and 54 deaths were recorded. 9273 patients have become healthy and 87443 patients have been reported to be active. The total number of cases in the state has reached 5, 44,942. Whereas, in Nagpur, 5993 new coronary infections were confirmed in the last 24 hours, 3993 patients were healthy and 57 deaths were recorded.

 

There are a total of 2,97,036 infected here. A total of 2,28,071 people have been recovered. The total number of active cases is 63,005. So far 5,960 deaths have been reported from Corona in the state. Meanwhile, curfew restrictions have been imposed in Mumbai and Nagpur in view of the horrific situation of Corona in the state. Due to the ban, the roads in Marine Drive and Goregaon in Mumbai are silent.

 

In view of the worsening conditions of the corona in Maharashtra, the government has imposed restrictions under the name Break the Chain. This was implemented at 8 pm on Wednesday 14 April, which will remain in force in the entire state till 1 May. With these restrictions, Section 144 has also been imposed in the entire state. Out of 1.85 lakh, new cases reported across the country, more than 60 thousand cases have been found in Maharashtra alone.

 

In such a situation, there will be a ban on five or more people gathering together in a public place. During this time, the government has also made arrangements for food for the poor people, under which packaged Shiva food thali will also be given to the poor. No fee will be charged for this plate.
