Maharashtra: Coronavirus positive patients in state cross 6,00,000 mark

Mumbai, Aug 17, 2020: A total of 11,391 people got discharged from hospitals while 8,493 new cases and 228 deaths were reported today. Today, 228 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.35%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 6,04,358 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 4,28,514 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.35%. As of today, there are 1,55,268 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 70.09% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.35%. Currently, 10,53,659  people are in home quarantine and 37,556 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 32,06,248 laboratory samples, 6,04,358 have been tested positive (18.8%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,647,663  across the country. Out of this, 1,919,842 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 50,921 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 676,900 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
