Maharashtra COVID report: 11,088 new cases, 256 deaths today
Mumbai, Aug 11, 2020: A total of 10,014 patients were discharged and 11,088 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1943 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 256 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.42%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 5,35,601 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 3,68,435 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.42%. As of today, there are 1,48,553 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 68.79% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.42%. Currently, 10,04,233 people are in home quarantine and 35,648 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 28,37,578 laboratory samples, 5,35,601 have been tested positive (18.87%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,268,675 across the country. Out of this, 1,583,489 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 45,257 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 639,929 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
