Pune city: 924 new COVID cases, 1240 discharged today

Pune, Aug 11, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1240 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 924 new patients were detected while 22 people died today. Today swab samples of 5320 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 67,651 out of which 51,353 have been cured while 1593 have died. There are still 14,705 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 735 critical patients out of which 443 are on ventilator support.

 

Across Maharashtra, 10,014 people got discharged from hospitals while 11,088 new cases and 256 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 5,35,601 out of which 3,68,435 people have recovered and 18,306 have died. There are 1,48,553 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,268,675 across the country. Out of this, 1,583,489 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 45,257 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 639,929 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
