Maharashtra COVID report: 14,718 new cases, 355 deaths today
Mumbai, Aug 27, 2020: A total of 9,136 patients were discharged and 14,718 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 3676 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 355 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.2%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 7,33,568 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 5,31,563 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.2%. As of today, there are 1,78,234 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.46% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.2%. Currently, 13,24,232 people are in home quarantine and 33,641 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 38,62,184 laboratory samples, 7,33,568 have been tested positive (18.99%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,310,234 across the country. Out of this, 2,523,771 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 60,472 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 725,991 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
