Maharashtra COVID Report: 23,365 New Cases, 474 Deaths Today

Mumbai, Sep 16, 2020: A total of 17,559 patients were discharged and 23,365 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 5049 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 474 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.75%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 11,21,221 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 7,92,832 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.75%. As of today, there are 2,97,125 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 70.71% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.75%.

Currently, 17,53,347 people are in home quarantine and 36,462 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 55,06,276 laboratory samples, 11,21,221 have been tested positive (20.36%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 50,20,359 across the country. Out of this, 3,942,360 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 82,066 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 995,933 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
