Maharashtra COVID report: 24,619 new cases, 398 deaths today

Mumbai, Sep 17, 2020: A total of 19,522 patients were discharged and 24,619 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra. Today, 398 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.74%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 11,45,840 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 8,12,354 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.74%. As of today, there are 3,01,752 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 70.90% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.74%.

Currently, 17,70,748 people are in home quarantine and 36,827  people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 56,04,890 laboratory samples, 11,45,840 have been tested positive (20.44%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,118,253 across the country. Out of this, 4,025,079 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 83,198 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 1,009,976 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
