Pune, 8th April 2025: As part of the ‘Samata Fortnight’ initiative, the deadline for submitting caste validity certificate applications has been extended to April 30, 2025. The extension aims to prevent academic setbacks for students, particularly those preparing for professional course entrance exams who have not yet applied for the certificate.

This decision benefits Class 12 Science stream students from the academic year 2024–25 who are preparing for entrance exams such as CET, JEE, and NEET. Many of these students require caste validity certificates for admission to professional courses under reserved categories.

The extension is crucial for those aspiring to pursue courses in engineering, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, law, and management, where valid caste certification is mandatory. To ensure that students are not denied opportunities due to documentation delays, the government has granted this grace period.

Students must apply online through either of the following portals:
https://ccvis.barti.in
https://barti.maharashtra.gov.in

After completing the online application, students are required to submit a hard copy to the District Caste Certificate Verification Committee Office at the following address:
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Social Justice Bhavan Survey No. 104/105, Alandi Road, Mental Corner, in front of Vishrantwadi Police Station, Yerawada, Pune

According to Sanjay Dane, Deputy Commissioner and Committee Member of the District Caste Certificate Verification Committee (Pune), all submissions must be made on or before April 30, 2025, during working days.
