Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Tests COVID Positive

Pune, October 26, 2020: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who is also the Guardian Minister of Pune District, has tested positive for Coronavirus disease (COVID19). He is admitted to a hospital in Mumbai.

He has been leading the fight against COVID19 in Pune and had held several meetings with officials of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and the district administration.

Pawar had self-quarantined himself after feeling unwell on October 23. He had left his Solapur tour in the middle after he felt uneasy. He had tested negative for COVID-19. However, the second test has now revealed that he has COVID.
