Uday Samant Interacts With Afghan Students In Pune

Pune, 29th August 2021: Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant today interacted with Afghan students at a program organized by Sarhad Sanstha at the Institute of Information Technology of the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS) near RTO.

 

Director of Higher Education Dhanraj Mane, President of All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology Maloji Raje, President of Sarhad Sanstha Sanjay Nahar, Kiran Sali, Afghan Student Representative Mohammad Afghani, as well as other Afghan students, were present on the occasion.

Samant assured Afghan students that the state government will stand by those who are studying in Maharashtra.

 

He further added that they would not be subjected to any injustice and that the necessary help will be given with sympathetic consideration regarding further education of the Afghan students. The issue of visas will be resolved by discussing it with the Central Government.

 

Mohammad Afghani demanded a scholarship for further education. He requested financial assistance for the provision of food and accommodation.
