Maharashtra Government yet to make decision on cancellation of e-passes: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar

Pune, August 24, 2020: While the Central government has ordered the state governments to revoke the condition of e-passes for interstate or intrastate travel, the Maharashtra State Government is yet to make a decision in this regard. Considering the current COVID-19 situation, the final decision of cancellation of e-pass will be taken after discussing it with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, said Deputy Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday in Pune.




He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a COVID Care Centre of 800 beds set up at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) ground in Shivajinagar, on Sunday, which was inaugurated Thackeray online.




On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, MLA Siddharth Shirole, Sunil Kamble, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Standing Committee Chairman Hemant Rasne, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Chief Executive Officer Suhas Divase, Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar were present.
