Maharashtra HSC Exam Results 2024: Pass Percentage at 93.37%

Pune, May 21st, 2024 – The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has released the Class 12 (HSC) exam results for the academic year 2024, showcasing an impressive overall pass percentage of 93.37%. Conducted from February 21 to March 23, the exams witnessed participation from over 1.5 million regular students. This year’s pass rate reflects a notable increase of 2.12 percentage points compared to the previous year.

Girls outshone boys yet again, securing a pass percentage of 95.44%, surpassing boys by 3.84%. Region-wise, Konkan emerged with the highest pass rate of 97.51%, while Mumbai recorded the lowest at 91.95%. The announcement, made by Chairman Sharad Gosavi, Secretary Anuradha Oak, and Deputy Secretary Manik Bangar, underscores the educational excellence of the state.

The results further revealed that out of 14,33,371 regular students appearing for Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational courses across nine regional boards, 93.37% cleared the exams. Additionally, 45,448 repeater students attempted the exams, with a pass percentage of 49.82%. Specially-abled students, totaling 41,362 in registration, achieved a commendable pass rate of 85.76%, with 34,988 successfully passing the exams.

Gosavi commended the students’ dedication and the efforts of educators and administrators in ensuring a smooth examination process. He emphasized the board’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and providing equitable opportunities for all students. With the results announced four days earlier than last year, students and their families can now plan their future endeavors with clarity and confidence.
