Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik Arrested, ED’s Big Action In Money Laundering Case Related To Dawood Ibrahim
Mumbai, 23rd February 2022: Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case.
The ED officials raided Nawab Malik’s house, found some documents, and took him to the office this morning where he was interrogated. Malik was unable to give satisfactory answers to many questions due to which he was arrested by the ED, officials said.
Amid the escalating war of words between Maharashtra’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government and the Centre, state minister Nawab Malik was taken for questioning at the ED office this morning. Officials of the central probe agency reached the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader’s house at 6 am where he was questioned for an hour. He was then brought to the ED office at 7.30 am.
Officials told a news agency that the 62-year-old minister, Malik was summoned by the ED in a money laundering case involving the Mumbai underworld activities of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his associates.
