Pune, 22nd February 2023: Sharad Pawar, the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), held a press conference in Pune today, commenting on the recent events in Maharashtra politics.

Following Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ statement about the morning swearing-in ceremony, there has been an uproar in the political circle. Fadnavis cast doubt on Sharad Pawar during his speech, and this has raised many arguments among the political class.

Sharad Pawar remained silent during the ceremony, but he has now spoken out, questioning whether Uddhav Thackeray would have become the Chief Minister if the morning oath ceremony had not taken place, and if President’s rule had not been lifted. Senior NCP leader Eknath Khadse also attended the press conference.

Sharad Pawar also expressed his reaction to the decision of the Election Commission, stating that it is unprecedented for the name and symbol of a political party to be taken away by misuse of power. He questioned the decisions of those responsible and expressed his belief that those who have taken such actions will be taught a lesson by the people.

Furthermore, Sharad Pawar commented on the elections, stating that he has contested 14 elections and has been successful due to his method of work, system, and relationship with the people. He criticized the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) for crowding its leaders, suggesting that this is not a conducive approach to winning elections.
