Pune, April 22, 2021: Restrictions are now being tightened by the Maharashtra government due to the increasing Covid cases in the state. Against this backdrop, the state transport minister Anil Parab gave important information while talking to the media today. He said that MSRTC buses will run only for essential services.

Parab said, “The MSRTC buses will run inside and outside the district, but they will run only for essential services. A meeting of officials has been called at the ministry to discuss this. The final decision will be made after this meeting. But now, according to the guidelines given by the government, MSRTC buses will run for essential services.”

Also, he said, “What are the criteria now in that regard, for how many days the people outside the district should be quarantined? And all such matters will be discussed in a meeting of the Ministry. The number of MSRTC buses will also decrease; they will not run as usual. The guidelines will be strictly followed. If people move from one district to another, the government says they will be given the stamp for home isolation of 14 days.”

“We need to save people’s lives more than what the opposition is criticizing. The work is underway to Break the Chain. So it’s important to see people don’t suffer due to inconvenience,” said Parab.
