Maharashtra: NDRF Rescues Over 90 Citizens in Overnight Flood Operations Across Beed, Dharashiv and Solapur
Pune, 23rd September 2025: Torrential rains have created flood-like conditions in parts of Maharashtra, prompting large-scale rescue efforts. The Pune-based 5th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) launched overnight operations in Beed, Dharashiv, and Solapur districts, evacuating more than 90 people to safety.
Beed: Newborn and Woman Rescued
In Beed district, Majalgaon tehsil’s Sandas Chinchoale village witnessed severe waterlogging, leaving residents stranded. NDRF teams worked through the night and by morning managed to rescue a newborn baby and a woman. In total, 26 individuals have been evacuated from different flood-hit areas of the district so far.
Dharashiv: Villagers Saved from Rising Waters
At Kapilapuri village in Dharashiv district, swelling waters cut off access to several homes. NDRF personnel, despite difficult conditions, rescued nine citizens during their night-long operation.
Solapur: 59 Citizens Evacuated
In Solapur district, the situation remained equally critical. NDRF teams engaged in continuous rescue efforts overnight, successfully relocating 59 residents to safer areas.
