Maharashtra Police personnel to get 25% discount on medicines

• Pilot project launched in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane & Pune to benefit serving & retired police personnel and their families
  

Mumbai, March 5, 2016: In an unique initiative for the Maharashtra Police, India’s Leading Online Pharmacy Aggregator, PharmEasy, will be providing medicines at 25 per cent discount to all serving and retired police officials and their family members.

Additional Director General of Police, Maharashtra, V V Lakhsmi Narayan, took the progressive step of entering into this arrangement on February 29, 2016. In a notification, he has directed the Commissioners of Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Navi Mumbai to spread the message to their force and constabulary so that maximum members of the police personnel and their families can avail the benefits, and improve their health.

The scheme will be initially implemented in the four cities and depending on its success; it will be rolled out to the entire state, said Additional Director General of Police V V Lakshmi Narayan.
