Maharashtra Political Crisis: Shiv Sena urges Deputy Speaker to Disqualify Four More MLAs, Notice to be Sent to Rebels

Mumbai, 25th June 2022: The political crisis of Maharashtra is increasing continuously. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena has started taking action against its rebel MLAs. According to the information received, Shiv Sena has sent the names of four more rebel MLAs to the Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. It has demanded the initiation of disqualification proceedings against these rebel MLAs. The party will also issue notices to 16 MLAs of the rebel faction and ask them to reply by Monday.

Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant told that the names of the four MLAs were sent to the Deputy Speaker. They include Sanjay Raimulkar, Chiman Patil, Ramesh Bornare and Balaji Kalyankar. A letter was issued to them on behalf of the party. But despite that none of them attended the party meeting in Mumbai on Wednesday evening.

 

Party doors may be closed for rebel MLAs

MP Arvind Sawant said that now only Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray can decide on whether to allow their return to Shiv Sena, otherwise, the party’s doors will be closed for them forever. He accused the rebel MLAs of betraying the saffron flag. The party has already given the names of 12 MLAs, including rebel camp leader Eknath Shinde, to the deputy speaker and is demanding their disqualification.

 

Shivsena National Executive meeting today

Shiv Sena has called a meeting of the party’s national executive at Sena Bhavan from 1 pm today. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will attend this meeting through video conferencing. On the other hand, after a day-long round of meetings on Friday, it has been decided that Uddhav Thackeray will not give up easily and will face a majority test in the House.
