Maharashtra State Board Announces Class 10th Results: 95.81% Pass Rate, Latur Division Leads in Perfect Scores

Pune, 27th May 2024: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the results for the Class 10th examination, with an overall pass rate of 95.81% this year. A notable 187 students across the state achieved perfect scores.

The announcement was made by State Board President Sharad Gosavi during a press conference, where Board Secretary Anuradha Oak and Joint Secretary Manik Bangar were also present. This year saw an increase in student enrollment for the 10th examination, conducted through nine divisional boards, with over 16 lakh students registered for the exam.

The Konkan division recorded the highest pass rate at 99.01%, while the Nagpur division had the lowest at 94.73%. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 97% compared to 94.56% for boys. This year’s overall pass percentage of 95.81% shows an improvement from last year’s 93.83%.

Latur division led the state in perfect scores, with 123 students achieving 100% marks. Other divisions with students achieving perfect scores include Pune (10 students), Nagpur (1 student), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (32 students), Mumbai (8 students), and Kolhapur (3 students).

Additionally, 81,991 students scored more than 90% marks, and 5,58,021 students secured over 75% marks. The State Board noted that all students who achieved perfect scores benefited from concessional marks.
