Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association to hold ‘Amrit Dyan Kumbh’, a two-day National Tax Conference on May 3-4

Pune, 2nd May 2025: The Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association (MTPA) is organizing a two-day National Tax Conference titled ‘Amrit Dnyankumbh 2025’ on May 3 and 4, 2025. The conference will be held at Sahakar Bhavan, Cosmos Tower, Ganeshkhind Road. The theme of the event is ‘Tax Professionals: Pillars of a $5 Trillion Economy & Beyond’. The event is being conducted in collaboration with the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP), GST Practitioners’ Association of Maharashtra, and North Maharashtra Tax Practitioners Association (NMTPA), as shared during a press conference by the Chairman of the National Tax Conference, Adv. Narendra Sonawane and MTPA President Adv. Prasad Deshpande. Vice Chairman CMA Shripad Bedarkar and MTPA Vice President Adv. Anurudra Chavan was also present.
Adv. Sonawane informed that the inauguration will take place on Saturday, May 3, at 9:45 a.m., at the hands of Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol. On the occasion, AIFTP National President Adv. Sameer Jani, former ICAI National President CMA B. M. Sharma, senior tax consultants Adv. Nikita Badheka, Adv. Deepak Godse, Adv. Vinayak Patkar, Adv. Narayan Jain, CA S. Venkataramani, Adv. Santosh Gupta, Adv. Bhaskar Patel, and Adv. Nitin Gautam will be present as a special guest.
On the first day, technical sessions will be held on “Challenges in Input Tax Credit, Fake Invoices, and Related Rules” by CA Asit Shah and Adv. Deepak Bapat, and “Direct Tax Code” by Dr. Girish Ahuja and Adv. Narayan Jain. A special session titled “GST Ki Sansad” will be chaired by Adv. Vidhyadhar Apte and Adv. Govind Patwardhan.
On the second day, experts such as Adv. Makarand Aadkar, CA Suhas Bora, CA Ishan Patkar, and CA Yogesh Ingle will address the topic “Indian Justice Code and the Interrelation Between Direct and Indirect Taxes.” Adv. Manohar Samal and CA Chandrashekhar Chitale will speak on “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Tax Consultants.” Another session on “Cooperative Sector and the $5 Trillion Economy” will be conducted by CA Yogesh Kasar and CA Milind Kale.
A special program titled “Kaun Banega Taxpati” will feature CA Rajesh Mehta, CA Mitish Modi, CMA Prakash Rijwani, CA Janak Waghani, Adv. Dinesh Tambade, Santosh Sharma, Adv. Sachin Kumar, Adv. Parth Badheka, CA Prashant GS, and CMA Deepak Joshi, as highlighted by Adv. Prasad Deshpande.
CMA Shripad Bedarkar informed that, for the first time, the conference will also feature a “Tax OPD” where experts will offer guidance on Income Tax, GST, RERA, RTI, LBT, and Cyber Law. Speakers include Anil Wakharia (LBT), Adv. Kishor Lulla (RTI), Adv. Milind Bhonde (GST), CA Parikshit Aurangabadkar (Income Tax), Dr. Sapna Dev (Cyber Law), and Adv. Sanket Bora (RERA). The 45th Foundation Day of MTPA will also be celebrated on this occasion, and tax consultants who have made significant contributions to the field will be honored.
