Maharashtra’s Infrastructure Visionary Represents India at U.S. Presidential Inauguration
Mumbai, 29th January 2025: Anilkumar Baliram Gaikwad, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), placed India on the global infrastructure map as he attended the prestigious 60th U.S. Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C. The historic event, which marked the swearing-in of the Trump-Vance administration, gathered world leaders, industry pioneers, and policymakers to deliberate on key issues, including infrastructure and sustainability.
Gaikwad’s invitation came from Dr. D.D. Mhaske, a senior U.S. federal bureaucrat renowned for his contributions to strengthening Indo-U.S. relations. As part of the inauguration proceedings, Gaikwad participated in exclusive gatherings, including the Cabinet Reception, Candlelight Dinner, Inaugural Parade, and Starlight Ball. These events featured an elite guest list, including tech visionaries Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, and SoftBank Chairman Masayoshi Son.
During his visit, Gaikwad engaged in high-level discussions with global leaders, focusing on smart urban planning, sustainable transportation, and innovative infrastructure management. The interactions highlighted Maharashtra’s advancements in connectivity and urban development, further positioning the state as a leader in modern infrastructure.
