Mahindra Ready To Unveil Updated XUV400 Electric In India Soon

11th November 2023: Mahindra is gearing up to unveil the updated XUV400 Electric in the Indian market shortly. This electric model, launched earlier this year, is set to face direct competition from the Tata Nexon facelift. In response to Tata Nexon’s recent facelift with enhanced features, Mahindra aims to introduce a revamped interior for the XUV400 to maintain its competitive edge.
To address the evolving market, Mahindra is making significant interior changes to the upcoming XUV400 Electric, as confirmed by the company itself. The facelifted model will feature a redesigned dashboard layout, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a central console, and new AC vents. Drawing inspiration from the new generation Mahindra XUV300 facelift, the cabin design will also reflect elements from the XUV700.
The Mahindra XUV400 Electric is poised to include a host of features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay with wireless Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, electronic voice assist sunroof, and advanced safety features. Speculations suggest the inclusion of additional security features, possibly incorporating elements of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology.
The electric SUV currently offers two battery options—a 34.5kWh pack with a claimed range of 375 km and a larger 39.4kWh pack with a claimed range of 456 km. Both battery configurations, combined with the electric motor, deliver 150 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The anticipated price for the new Mahindra XUV400 Electric is expected to exceed the current model’s range, which is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 19.39 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Mahindra plans to launch this updated model in the Indian market early next year, with recent test images adding to the anticipation. Competitors include the Tata Nexon facelift, Hyundai Kona Electric, and MG ZS EV.
