Pune, 10th June 2026: Central Railway’s Pune Division has announced a nine-hour special traffic block at Pune Yard on June 14, leading to the cancellation, partial cancellation, regulation and rescheduling of several passenger and suburban train services.

The block will be undertaken from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to facilitate engineering, Signal and Telecommunication (S&T), and Overhead Equipment (OHE) works related to the replacement of DDS Point No. 208/209 in the Pune–Daund section. During the block period, Platforms 3 and 4 at Pune railway station will not be available for train movements from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) end.

As a result, nine train services have been fully cancelled. These include Pune–Talegaon and Talegaon–Pune suburban services, Pune–Nagpur Express, Nagpur–Pune Express, Baramati–Pune DEMU, Pune–Daund DEMU, Satara–Pune DEMU, and the CSMT Mumbai–Pune and Pune–CSMT Mumbai Express services.

Several trains will also be short terminated at intermediate stations. Four Lonavala–Pune suburban services and two Talegaon–Pune suburban services scheduled on June 14 will terminate at Shivajinagar instead of Pune. Jaipur–Pune Express and CSMT Mumbai–Pune Express will terminate at Khadki, while Jammu Tawi–Pune Express and Amravati–Pune Express will terminate at Hadapsar.

Similarly, a number of trains will originate from stations other than Pune. Multiple Pune-bound suburban services towards Lonavala and Talegaon will commence from Shivajinagar. Pune–Jaipur Express and Pune–CSMT Mumbai Express will originate from Khadki, while Pune–Kolhapur Express will begin its journey from Satara.

Two long-distance trains are scheduled to face en-route regulation. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai–SMVT Bengaluru Express and Gwalior–Daund Express will each be detained by approximately 30 minutes in the Lonavala–Pune section.

In addition, Train No. 22171 Pune–Rani Kamalapati Express has been rescheduled on June 14. The train, originally scheduled to depart Pune at 3:15 pm, will now leave at 7:55 pm, resulting in a delay of four hours and forty minutes.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to verify the latest running status and schedule of their trains before commencing their journey through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the Indian Railways enquiry portal.

The traffic block is part of infrastructure work being undertaken in the Pune Yard area and is expected to affect train operations throughout the day on June 14.
